ITANAGAR: Raga MLA Tarin Dakpe inaugurated the KGBV Type-IV, 100-bedded girl's hostel constructed under 'Samagra Shiksha/ISSE' at the Government Higher Secondary School at Raga on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, Dakpe appealed to the parents of students in the district to visit the school where their children are studying, meet the teaching faculty and keep themselves updated of the education progress of their wards.
He said that the most effective way to promote education of the children is only possible if the parents take care of their wards and also concentrate on their wards' education upgradation.
Dakpe advised the students to study well and work hard, which is the only key to success in life.
"The students must maintain cordial relationships with the teacher and also respect them. Each student should also participate in every co-curriculum activity during the academic session," he said, while requesting the students to maintain discipline to be a good human being to serve the society.
Dakpe also requested the DDSE, Raga to follow as per New Education Policy (NEP) guidelines. He asked the DDSE to utilize the fund provided to the district in the best possible way to raise up the education scenario of the newly born district.
Among others who attended the inaugural programme were all the heads of department, elected PRI leaders, members of the 'Nyishi Elite Society' (NES) executive members of the Kamle District unit.
