No fresh Covid-19 case reported in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh did not report any Covid-19 case on Saturday, while the virus caseload in the northeastern state remained at 55,320, a senior health official said here.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh did not report any Covid-19 case on Saturday, while the virus caseload in the northeastern state remained at 55,320, a senior health official said here. As many as 55,010 persons recuperated from the disease so far including, three on Friday, said the official.

The death toll in the frontier state remained at 280 as no fresh fatality due to the infection was reported in the past 24 hours, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. The recovery rate among coronavirus patients marginally improved to 99.44 per cent from the previous day of 99.43, while the active ratio also increased to 0.05 from 0.06 per cent the previous day, he said. The northeastern state now has 30 active cases, Jampa said. The Capital Complex Region, comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas, has the highest number of active cases at 18, followed by Namsai (4), West Kameng (3), East Siang (2), Papumpare, Tawang and Lohit with one case each. A total of 12,02,713 samples, including 203 on Friday, have been tested for Covid-19 in the state, Jampa said adding, the positivity rate stood at 0.40 per cent. State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung said 14,46,680 people have been inoculated so far including 1,232 on Friday.
