No fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh did not report any fresh Covid-19 case on Sunday, while the total caseload in the North-eastern state remained at 55,343, a senior health official said here today.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh did not report any fresh Covid-19 case on Sunday, while the total caseload in the North-eastern state remained at 55,343, a senior health official said here today. Arunachal Pradesh has now 18 active COVID-19 cases.

As many as 55,043 people, including three on Thursday, have recuperated from the disease so far in the State, the official said,

The COVID-19 death toll increased to 282 after two more persons succumbed to the infection on Friday, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. A 62-year-old man from Lohit district and another 48-year-old person from West Kameng district died at health facilities on Friday, he added.

The recovery rate from COVID-19 in the frontier stood at 99.46%, while the activity rate stood at 0.03 per cent.

The Capital Complex, comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas, has the highest number of active cases at 14, followed by Tawang (2), West Kameng and Lohit (one case each).

As many as 12,05,238 samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far in the State, including, 47 on Saturday, Dr Jampa said.

State Immunization Officer Dr Dimong Padung informed that over 14.62 lakh people have been inoculated in the State thus far.
