ITANAGAR: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday said that the State Government had officially not received any letter for granting of PRC to the Assamese community settled in the State by any organization so far.
However, he said that the letter from the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-Independent) was seen through various social media platforms. "The State government earlier made an effort to provide PRC to the Assamese community but the idea was not welcomed by the indigenous populace of the State. Therefore, the granting of PRC is as of now 'dropped off'," he added.
Khandu's reply came when asked about the response of the State government to grant PRC to Assamese communities settled in the State while speaking to the reporters during his inspection programme of NH-415 of package B and C on Monday.
