ITANAGAR, Jul 27: Speaking on the NPP alliance with the BJP under the banner of NEDA, BJP general secretary Jarpum Gamlin said that there is no official communication either from the NPP or NEDA headquarters including the acceptance of their merger on Friday here.
NPP had earlier in a press conference has stated that NPP is already an alliance under the NEDA, and that the joining of seven MLAs will automatically be included in the present state government led by the BJP. In reply, Jarpum said that there is no official document of acceptance in the state BJP office nor has the Guwahati office
received any such papers officially. Every party has its own working ideology and if the NPP signs against the ideology of Congress they will be welcomed, he added.
Clarifying on pre and post election alliance, he said that the BJP and the NPP are two sides of the same coin and making alliances -- both pre and post election -- just because the NPP and the BJP come under the banner of NEDA does not make any difference.
