ITANAGAR: The organization, 'Mission Modi Again PM' has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein for allegedly ignoring public grievances and failure to curtail corruption practices taking place under their nose.
Addressing media persons at the press club hereon Monday, president of MMAPM (Arunachal Unit), Reken Lida claimed that their organization was directly or indirectly a part of the BJP that disseminated as well as created awareness on various central schemes being launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for common people. However, despite knowing the fact, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister had repeatedly denied appointments to them.
"We have never asked for any funds or schemes for our benefits, but we have sought appointments to share information about various schemes and projects which are not being implemented properly on the ground even though many common people are deprived of government benefits. But surprisingly, both have deliberately ignored us," Lida said.
"If they can't meet or hear the voice of their own members, then they will never hear the grievances of common people," he asserted.
Alleging large-scale corruption under the rule of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, general secretary of MMAPM (Arunachal), Nagshu Wangsu stated that they were not against BJP but against the leadership which had failed to work for the common people. He appealed to the BJP national president to change the leadership of Arunachal Pradesh for the betterment of the state.
The organization also extended support to Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) which has resorted to a foot march to Delhi against corruption.
