BORDUMSA: “Our state’s development story is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu”, said Somlung Mossang, the MLA for Bordumsa-Diyun constituency, on Tuesday in Bordumsa. “Our farmers, labourers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and professionals have all played a crucial role in driving our progress forward. Their relentless pursuit of excellence has propelled our state onto the national and global stage,” the legislator reiterated.

Mossang was addressing the general public during the celebration of the country’s 77th Independence Day here at Bordumsa General Play Ground in Arunachal’s Changlang district on Tuesday morning. Offering tribute to the martyrs of the Indian freedom struggle and the brave unsung heroes of Arunachal Pradesh for their roles and supreme sacrifices in liberating the country of India from the British yoke, the MLA who was the chief guest of the Red Letter Day said that our nation’s history is a tapestry woven with the threads of courage, resilience, and determination. From the struggles of our forefathers who fought for our rights to the modern-day heroes who uphold our democracy, we stand as a testament to the strength of unity.

“As we march forward, let us remember that our independence comes with responsibilities. We must safeguard our environment, nurture our youth, and strengthen our economy. Let innovation and progress be the guiding lights that lead us into a brighter future,” said the MLA.

“Mountains converted into roads and highways, untapped vegetations and landscapes changed into hot tourist destinations, the last and isolated village along the Indo-China LAC of the state got connected, reformation and revamping of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, the state’s first ever flying zone, the brilliant concept of honouring the unsung heroes and brave martyrs of Arunachal and staging the theatre thereby in several metro cities of India like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Guwahati under the leadership of the Chowna Mein Ji the Dy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, representation of Singpho Tableaux during the country’s Rebublic Day parade in New Delhi were some of the unprecedented achievements of the government to quote a few taking place after the independence,” Mossang added.
