Participate in process of building nation: Minister Mama Natung to youths

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Environment & Forest Minister Mama Natung has exhorted the youth to set a positive mindset and shoulder responsibilities in nation building.

Attending the five-day North East National Service Scheme (NSS) festival at Dera Natung Government College here, Natung termed the youths as the 'backbone' and 'future' of the society.

"The festival will offer literary, games & sports, socio-cultural exchange, leadership training for all round personality development to the youth. They will also learn discipline, team work and sense of brotherhood for peace and communal harmony," he said.

As many as 300 NSS volunteers and 25 programme officers from seven northeastern states are attending the five-day, informed NSS state unit nodal officer Dr A K Mishra.

Among those who spoke on the occasion were Nari-Koyu MLA Kento Rina, who is advisor to Education Minister Taba Tedir, Chief Information Commissioner Dr Joram Begi and Secretary Education Niharika Rai. DNGC Principal Dr M.Q. Khan also attended the event, a press release informed here.
