Pasighat cyclists celebrate 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'

In commemoration of the 75th year of India's Independence, a bicycle rally on the theme 'Freedom to Cycle' under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' (AKAM)

PASIGHAT: In commemoration of the 75th year of India's Independence, a bicycle rally on the theme 'Freedom to Cycle' under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' (AKAM) was organized by the Pasighat Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) on Saturday.

The cycle rally covered a distance of 7.5 km within the city as a symbolic tribute to the cause. The rally was open for all age groups. It was enthusiastically participated by government employees, and students of schools and colleges besides people from business communities among others.

A total of 35 cyclists took part in the rally which started from the Raneghat Bridge point. It culminated at the rostrum near the Pasighat main market.

The rally was flagged off by 'Miss Arunachal-2021', Tengam Celine Koyu in the presence of Wayong Khimhun, CEO (Chief Execeutive Officer) of Pasighat Smart City and host of officers and officials of the 'Pasighat Smart City Development Corporation Limited' and also the 'Pasighat Municipal Council'.

Congratulating the participants, Koyu urged all the participants to encourage more members of their peer group to take up cycling as hobby for innumerable health benefits.

The CEO of Pasighat Smart City, W. Khimhun spoke about the need to take up more innovative activities under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' befitting the celebration of such momentous occasion.
