ITANAGAR: The Yachuli rural works circle in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh organised a review meeting for the five districts of the state on Monday. The districts include Lower Subansiri, Kamle, Upper Subansiri, Kra Daadi, and Kurung Kumey, according to an official report. The meeting was held to take stock of the progress of various Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) works under the districts. The meeting, chaired by RWD Minister Honchun Ngandam and Agriculture Minister Tage Taki, was attended by RWD Secretary Nitu Tsering Glow, Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner Bamin Nime, PMGSY chief engineer Nyai Rigia, RWD engineers from all five districts, and contractors.
Both the ministers appreciated the hard work of engineers and contractors who had been hard-pressed to complete all the ongoing PMGSY works by March 2024. They advised all the stakeholders to work out a feasible working plan to ensure completion of the balanced stretch of road work within the stipulated timeline set by the Union Rural Development Ministry. During the meeting, an interaction session was also held between the executing agency and the contractors to motivate and boost the morale of the contractors for the early completion of the remaining works, the report added.
