Police nab ATM robber in Arunachal district

ITANAGAR: East Kameng police arrested the accused involved in the ATM robbery case of Rajabapak colony at Seppa, the district headquarters. The person was arrested on Friday, police sources in the district said.

The Seppa police, led by Sub-Inspector Shakti Lamgu and Constables Tagi Gyadi and Bikash Lori Gyadi, arrested accused Taguk Rang (38), from Rang village, in connection with the robbery case that occurred on February 15 this year.

Rang was arrested at his brother’s home, and police recovered an amount of Rs 15.5 lakhs from his possession. In a broad daylight robbery, Rang had looted around Rs 40 lakhs from the staff of the State Bank of India (SBI), while they were depositing cash in the ATM, at gunpoint.
