Remote Kharsang gets maiden sophisticated dental-care unit in Changlang district

The maiden shopisticated dental wing was inaugurated at KBM (Krick & Bourry Memorial) Hospital at the remote village of Injan of Kharsang in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh

BORDUMSA: The maiden shopisticated dental wing was inaugurated at KBM (Krick & Bourry Memorial) Hospital at the remote village of Injan of Kharsang in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh here on Wednesday morning. The move will go a long way in catering to the treatment of various dental-related issues of the people of Kharsang and the adjoining areas of the district. The hospital is the first initiative of the Miao Diocese in the Healthcare sector.

The dental cell equipped with all modern equipments and technology was inaugurated by the MLA of nearby Bordumsa Diyun Constituency, Somlung Mossang in the presence of Kharsang SDO (Civil) Rakesh Kumar Rai, Kharsang ZPM (Zila Panchayat Member) Chomjung Haidly, and the Patron of KBM Hospital Injan, Bishop of Miao Diocese George Pallipparambil.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Mossang reiterated that with the opening of the dental wing in the hospital, the simple and agrarian people of nearby locations like Miao, Jairampur, Nampong, Bordumsa, Diyun and Manmaw would avail hassle-free and affordable dental treatment -- saving both money and time.

''Economic prosperity of a region does not only imply having assets and money; it greatly means having a sound health condition of the people that actually determines the status of economic progress, said the legislator while expecting the hospital management committee to provide a quality health care services to the poor and needy,'' he said

Throwing a brief light on the journey and the services that the hospital has been rendering since 2016, Bishop George Pallipparambil said, ''Adding the dental unit syncronising with the celebration of the 'World Health Day' today is a meaningful assurance of its commitments towards serving the poor, needy and the downtrodden.''

Speaking on the occasion, parish priest of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miao, Father Felix Anthony pointed out, ''The hospital is well equipped with doctors and nursing staffs. It caters to the multiple needs in Healthcare sector''. He added, ''A quality nursing training institute is one of the vital aspects that we are planning to have in the near future.

Among those who would render the dental services to the people in the hospital are Dr Shradha Girodiya, root-canal specialist Dr Rohit Pasaria and Dr Munmoon Debnath.
