RGUASF Launches Website on Foundation Day at Employees’ office

RONO HILLS: The Rajiv Gandhi University Assam Students’ Forum (RGUASF) celebrated its eighth Foundation Day at the employees’ office here on Saturday. The occasion was marked with the website launch of the forum.

The website development team displayed various aspects and components of the website.

The occasion was graced by Bhaskar Chutiya, faculty, Department of Computer Science and Engineering RGU and member of the Rajiv Gandhi University Research Scholars’ Forum (RGURSF).

RGURSF chairman Reken Lollen in his speech, advised the students from Assam to firstly perform their responsibilities as a student and also urged them to maintain the bond of love and brotherhood among the various communities residing in Rono Hills.

In his address, RGUASF president Juicy Patir emphasized on the importance of the forum as a platform for showcasing the unity and brotherhood among the different communities and tribes of Assam.

Congratulating the Assamese students on the successful launch of their website, RGURSF general secretary Prem Taba said it is a commendable initiative and that it is a good and sincere effort to disseminate information worldwide. He also appreciated the Forum’s initiative for carrying out charity drives during times of crisis.

The history of the Forum and its social responsibilities in the lives of the people of the two neighboring States, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh was shared by RGURSF literary secretary Amar Jyoti Saikia. He also urged the new members of the Assam Students’ Forum to maintain the spirit of brotherhood and belongingness towards the strengthening of the bond between the people of the two States.

Former RGUASF president and RGURSF assistant general secretary Babujyoti Ghosh stressed on the relationship of the two States since ancestral times and the association of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika along with Bengia Hemanta in strengthening the relationship among the people of both the States.

Various cultural programmes, poem recitation, and Bihu performance marked the occasion.
