Seminar on Academic Leadership Alignment Programme (ALAP) concludes at NERIST

Six technical sessions covering all five major objectives of NEP 2020 were held, which benefited the participants and cleared all the doubts that were raised in each session.

ITANAGAR: The NIT, in collaboration with Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal (Research for Resurgence Foundation), North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), and NIT Silchar, has organised a two-day Anandshala (Blissinar) national-level conference on ALAP (Academic Leadership Alignment Programme) on NEP implementation pathway services (NIPS) for senior leadership of universities and HEIs from Thursday last. The conference covered topics such as self-discovery and the sharing of salient features of NEP.

Altogether, six technical sessions covering all five major objectives of NEP 2020 were held, which benefited the participants and cleared all the doubts that were raised in each session. The programme was attended by 140 or more participants from all the North Eastern states, as an official communiqué informed here on Saturday. On the inaugural day, NIT Arunachal Director Prof. Pinakeswar Mahanta explained about IMO and the seminar, how the syllabus is being modified according to NEP-2020, and looked forward to the session to modify it further.

NERIST Director Professor Muralidhar pointed out India's population as the world's number one, which surpassed China, saying that India has more human capital. He explained the rich old civilization of India and also talked about the current situation of education in India and the relative target by the year 2035 according to NEP-2020.
