Seven more arrested in APPSC exam case

The state police of the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) have arrested seven more people in connection to the APPSC examination, among which 6 were serving as government officials.

ITANAGAR: The state police of the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) have arrested seven more people in connection to the APPSC examination, among which 6 were serving as government officials.

SP (SIC) Anant Mittal informed that a case was registered by one Kesto Loriak and seven other deprived candidates of APPSCCE-2017, following which the SIC amalgamated all complaints related to APPSC-2014 and arrested 20 persons so far.

He said after detailed interrogation, and technical and financial analysis of suspects, Radek Romin, Iken Bagra, Kendar Bagra, Kenjom Bagra, Dekni Romin, Joi Sora, and Jobom Chang Mengu has been arrested.

Radek Romin (58) and Iken Bagra (52) served as Block Education Officers (BEO) under DDSE, in Aalo, Kendar Bagra (27) and Kenjom Bagra (25) served as JE in the department of Rural Works in Aalo and Kaying respectively.

Meanwhile, Dekni Romin (25) was posted as Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) at Taliha and Joi Sora (55) as Primary Teacher at Kombo.

Jobom Chang Mengu, who served as the broker APPSC (AE-Civil) question paper leakage case has also been arrested and is in judicial custody of the CBI case. The police had earlier contested his (Mengu) bail application in the high court and won.
