Three Children Injured In Grenade Blast In Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: At least three children, including a two-year-old, were injured in a grenade blast in Upper Chinhan village in Lazu circle of Tirap district on Saturday.

According to reports, the incident occurred at 12 noon when these children were playing with a hand grenade wrapped in a polythene bag which later exploded.

The injured children are aged 10, two, and 3½ years.

Reportedly, the 10-year-old child is currently being treated at a hospital in Assam's Dibrugarh.

The other children-aged 2 and 3 fortunately didn't receive any major injuries and are under observation at the Khonsa district hospital in the state's Tirap.

Meanwhile, officials concerned have launched an investigation in this regard.
