Training on LSDGs begins in Arunachal Pradesh

Training on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) for East Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh began at Seppa, the district headquarters

ITANAGAR: Training on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) for East Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh began at Seppa, the district headquarters, on Thursday, wherein around 100 participants joined the programme.

The programme was inaugurated by East Kameng DC Nongkong Borang in presence of district Panchayat Development Officer Ashok Tajo and others.

The programme is being organised by State Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), an official communiqué informed here.

The DC in his address urged all the participants for sincere and attentive participation in the training and thanked SIRD&PR for organizing such a needful training in the district.

Tajo informed that various line departments have been invited for the programme for pro-active disclosure of the schemes that are being implemented by their respective department.

All departments will be joining the programme during technical session, he added.

Highlighting the objectives of the training SIRD&PR assistant director Dr. Mihin Lali informed that there are nine themes of LSDGs out of which every Gram Panchayat is required to adopt at least one theme during the financial year for achieving LSDGs.

ZPM Mije Degio also spoke on the occasion, the communiqué added.
