Two-day State resource group training concludes in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: A two-day State-level orientation training for state resource group (SRG) on “Incremental Learning Approach (ILA)”, conducted by the Department of Women & Child Development (WCD) at the State Legislative Assembly hall, Itanagar, concluded on Friday.

The members of the district resource group (DRG) from East Kameng, Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi and Lower Subansiri were imparted orientation training. A total of 10 members of SRG along with State nodal officers of Poshan Abhiyaan attended the programme.

Director of WCD TP, Loyi said the Poshan Abhiyaan is the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s overreach scheme to improve the nutritional status of children upto the age of 6 years, pregnant women and lactating mother through methodical ongoing capacity building, called ILA.

She said ILA is one of the seventh components of Poshan Abhiyaan. The objectives of ILA training are to build skilled frontline workers, strengthen supervisory structures and skills and enable coordinated functioning of ICDS and health programmes to achieve common goals.

Earlier, on the first day of training on March 14, the participants and representative were highlighted on the topics like – understanding maternal and child health status, Common Application Software (CAP), Community Based Event (CBE), Jan Andolan, etc.

Meanwhile, on the concluding day, the trainees were trained on the use of Model-3 of ILA – planning and organizing CBE, guidelines and role plays, planning exercise for the DRG and post test, feedback and overall consolidation.
