Union Budget envisages India's growth and development: Arunachal BJP

The BJP in Arunachal said that the Union Budget envisages India’s growth and development for 100 years post Independence and outlines the roadmap for growth, development and progress of all sections particularly, farmers, women, middle class and businessmen.

ITANAGAR: The BJP in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday said that the Union Budget envisages India's growth and development for 100 years post Independence and outlines the roadmap for growth, development and progress of all sections particularly, farmers, women, middle class and businessmen.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget for 2023-24 in the Parliament on Wednesday. Terming it as a 'public welfare' and 'pro-poor' budget, BJP state unit spokesperson Dominic Tadar said in a press conference here that the budget would empower and uplift the lives of villagers, rural folks, Dalits, tribals, farmers, backward and oppressed classes and those who are economically backward.

"It is a blueprint for India's rapid growth and development which will ensure holistic progress of the country particularly rural development, agriculture development, labourer's welfare, infrastructure development, digital infrastructure development and development of Northeast and hilly regions of our country," Tadar said.

He added that the Budget would promote social justice, equality and provide equal opportunities to all sections of the society. "This budget will make India a 'super economic power' with emphasis on education of children, earning of the middle class and welfare of the elderly," the spokesperson said.

Referring to the priorities of the budget, Tadar said that the government is focusing on inclusive development, reaching last mile, infrastructure and investment, unleashing potential, green growth, youth power and financial sector.

He said the government's economic agenda for its vision in the budget focuses on facilitating opportunities for citizens, providing strong impetus for growth and job creation besides, strengthening macroeconomic stability.

"The Budget is not merely an agenda for development but a blueprint for laying a strong foundation for India's economic development for the next 25-50 years. By ending the old tax regime in the budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a historical step which is a big gift to the salaried class in the country," Tadar said.

"We thank the Narendra Modi government for its deep focus towards development and growth of dairy, animal husbandry and fisheries sectors for which the target of providing loans has been increased to Rs 20 lakh crores. Similarly to promote agri start-ups by roping in young entrepreneurs, a new corpus is being created which will revolutionize our agriculture sector," he said.

Tadar further said that to give wings to the aspirations and dreams of the youths, the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojna 4.0 has introduced ammo which is a welcome step.

"Under this scheme 40 skill India centers will be opened across the country which will sharpen skills of our youths and open new opportunities for them," the spokesperson pointed out.

He added that despite the Covid pandemic and the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, India's budget size has risen to Rs 45 lakh crore which, clearly reflects the fast growing economy of the country.
