Itanagar: Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Prahlad Singh Patel, who is on a two-day visit to East Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh since Sunday, visited tourists spots of the district.
He visited Pongging Viewpoint along Pasighat-Mariyang Highway, Bodak Village and Bodak Siang Riverview area, Raneghat photography point and Pilgrimage site, Dangaria Baba Mandir besides Pineapple Homestay at Napit Village, an official communique informed.
During the visit, he was accompanied by MLAs Lombo Tayeng, Kaling Moyong, Deputy Commissioner Dr Kinny Singh, Tourism Secretary Sadhana Deori besides other civil officials.
At Bodak Village, the Union Minister was briefed on the tourism potential in trekking, hiking, sightseeing, angling ,rafting, kayaking, heritage, cultural and village tourism, tea tourism, pilgrimage tourism in the district.
He was also briefed about the tourism potential of cane and bamboo traditional bridge built over the confluence of Siang and Yamne Rivers near Pongging Viewpoint. He also noted the good connectivity to the tourist hotspots in the area, the communique added.
