10 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Amguri, Sivasagar district

GAURISAGAR: Sensation prevailed at Amguri in Sivasagar district after 10 persons tested positive for COVID-19.

The persons have been identified as Simanta (Ratul) Khargharia (41) of Amguri Bhyuanhat, Dilip Chetia (41) of Amguri PS, Nayanjyoti Kalita (23), Biju Das (36) of Amguri No 4 and 2 wards, Rajen Kalita (52) of Amguri CHC, Manabjyoti Ahmed Gogoi (29) of Samaguri, Rintu Gogoi (26), Montu Gogoi (24) and Rijumoni Gogoi (48) of the same family of Phulpanichiga Charingia gaon near Saturday Market of Charing. Among them, Simanta (Ratul) Khargharia (41) and Dilip Chetia (41) are employees of SBI Amguri. They were on duty till Tuesday. Biju Das and Rajen Kalita work in a grocery shop and hardware shop respectively. Manabjyoti Ahmed Gogoi, a health worker, came from Guwahati a few days ago. Local administration has shifted them to Sibsagar Civil Hospital and declared the respective areas as containment zones. Amguri CHC has collected 120 swab samples and will remain closed for another three days.
