11,997 people vaccinated in a single day across Lakhimpur; 2,99,905 vaccinated

LAKHIMPUR: The COVID-19 vaccination drive has been underway in Lakhimpur district since January 16 following the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and State government. On Tuesday, a total of 11,997 beneficiaries were aggressively vaccinated across the district under a special vaccination drive undertaken by the Health Department. On that day, 7381 people from 18 years to 44 years were vaccinated with first dose while 34 people of the same age group were vaccinated with second dose. Similarly, 3266 people over 45 years were vaccinated with first dose while 1203 people were administered the second dose of the vaccine. On the other hand, 31 health care workers were vaccinated with second dose. Moreover, 4 front line workers were administered the first dose and 78 front line workers were given the second dose. On that day, a total of 1188 vials of Covishield vaccine were consumed across the district.

As per report found from the District Health Department, a total of 2,99,905 people of the district were vaccinated till July 20. Out of them , 2,65416 people of the district got shot of Covishield vaccine while 34,489 people were vaccinated with Covaxin. Till that day, the first dose of Covishield vaccine was administered to 2,28,368 people while 37,048 people were given the second those. On the other hand, first dose of Covaxin was administered to 26,016 while 8,473 people were administered the second dose of the same. According to the report, a total of 12,602 health care workers, 18,750 front line warriors, 1,28,631 people from 18 years to 44 years and 1,39,912 people over 45 years were vaccinated across the district till July 20.
