142 Bn CRPF organized Civic Action Programme in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: The 142 Battalion CRPF organized a Civic Action Programme on Tuesday for the financial year 2020-21 in 'D' sector of Merapani.

Keeping in mind the aspirations and long-term demand of locals of the Assam-Nagaland border, many utility items were distributed during the civic action programme which included solar street lights, water purifier machines, hot and cold dispensers and various sports items for the school children. Besides this, under the corona awareness programme, everyone present in the programme was given a hand sanitizer, surgical face mask and other hygiene and sanitation items.

On the occasion, Bibhash Chandra Modi, Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, was welcomed by Sh. Bharat Kumar Vaishnav, Commandant -142 Bn, followed by a beautiful cultural programme was presented by the school children of Merapani. The district authorities explained the importance of a civic action programme. Pushpraj Singh, Golaghat Superintendent of Police, Raktim Baruah, ADC Golaghat, along with all officers of 142 Bn and other dignitaries were also present.
