SILCHAR: A deadly head on collision between an auto rickshaw and a truck on Monday late night left two people dead at Solgoi area in Patherkandi on Assam-Tripura border. The deceased had been identified as Radha Ranjan Das, 47 and Apu Suklabaidya, the driver of the ill fated auto rickshaw which was carrying seven passengers including an ailing minor to a hospital. Das died on the spot while Suklabaidya breathed his last while on the way to Silchar Medical College Hospital. Other five passengers, all of them from the same family, were reportedly fighting for their lives at the SMCH. Eyewitness said, the auto rickshaw was in high speed and the hit at the cement loaded truck which was parked at the road side.
