2 UK returnees test COVID-19 positive in Golaghat

Two persons with travel history to the UK and who arrived in Golaghat few days ago, have tested positive for COVID-19.

GOLAGHAT: Two persons with travel history to the UK and who arrived in Golaghat few days ago, have tested positive for COVID-19. The Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat said that two persons of a family who returned to Golaghat from the UK on Dec 12 had tested positive. They had been kept under isolation. On Dec 27, their RT-PCR test came positive. They were sent to JMCH. Their swab samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune to ascertain whether the patients had contracted the new strain of coronavirus, the Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat said.
