LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Health Department sent a total of 210 swab samples to the Assam Medical College and Hospital for COVID-19 test on Sunday. A total of 50 swab samples were sent on Saturday while 277 swab samples from the district were sent on Friday. Out of them, test result of 20 swab samples on Saturday and 200 swab samples on Sunday were reported to the District Health Department. They were all reported to be negative for COVID-19.
The Health Department stamped 69 people on Saturday and 23 people on Sunday for home quarantine. With these figures, the number of people stamped for home quarantine in the district rose up to 8,185 on Thursday. According to information from Health Department sources, 69 persons on Saturday and 23 persons on Sunday completed their home quarantine period in the district. On other hand, 25 returnees from other States were released from mass quarantine facility of the district on Saturday. A total of 5,139 people in the district completed their home quarantine period of 28 days till the date. The screening of the health of the returnees from other States continues at various health check-up centres set up in different places of the district.
