DIGBOI: The four-day long 21st biennial central conference of the All Moran Students' Union (AMSU) kicked off here at the Bodousa Samannay Kshetra at Muliabari in Digboi in Tinsukia district.
The maiden day agenda of the central conference marked the hoisting of the flag by Arunjyoti Moran, the president of the central committee AMSU, in the presence of three BJP MLAs - SurenPhukan, Bhaskar Sharma and Bolin Chetia of Digboi, Margherita and Sadiya assembly constituencies respectively - and representatives of various Moran bodies and people from different communities and walks of life.
Following the ceremonial inauguration of several stages within the premises of the SamannyaKshetra, a formal spiritual talk was also held. The theme of the talk was 'The essence of spiritual knowledge for ages in human civilization' and it was conducted by spiritual leader SakreswarMahanta, the former president of ShatraMahaSabhaTinsukia district. Simultaneously, various literary and sports activities were also conducted among school children and sportsmen.
Bhaskar Sharma, the Margheita legislator, while assuring his support to the cause of the Moran community and also confirmed the attendance of Chief Minister SarbanandaSonowal and the State Health and Education Minister in the AMSU conference on two different days on October 31 and November 1 respectively.
