KOKRAJHAR: In an increasing trend, 28 more persons have tested COVID-19 positive, including two minors, in Kokrajhar district within another 24 hours. This has raised the total tally to 318 in the district.
As many as nine persons have tested positive from Dolgaon in Gossaigaon subdivision, the hotspot that forced the Civil Subdivision to declare the entire Gossaigaon Town Committee area as containment zone. Other detected persons include 7 from Digli Forest Camp, 5 from Assam Police Battalion (APBn), 3 from Bhotgaon High School quarantine centre and one each from Kokrajhar DC office, DC residence, Kokrajhar Jail and Kursakhati.
The persons who have tested COVID-19 positive in Kokrajhar district are-Bhajan Paul (45), Sumen Paul (16), Radha Rani Paul (38), Naresh Singh (65), Sreya Gupta (4), Susmita Debnath (12), Lalita Debnath (75), Priyanka Singh (25) and Naba Sutradhar (38), all from Dolgaon under Gossaigaon subdivision, Bipul Chandra Roy (47), Lakhan Mech (52), Mohi Rahang (34), Rupen Kalita (33), Hume Bahadur Chetri (28), Dipankar Rajbongshi (24) and Dibyajyoti Das (29), all from Digli Forest Camp, Sontosh Kr. Ray (43), Abdul Karim Sheik (32), Archut Kalita (55), Mofid Khan (26) and Pradip Kalita (34), all from APBn, Lalit Chandra Sarkar (49) of DC office staff, Sukala Murmu (27) of Kokrajhar Jail, Hasan Sabani Ahmed (30), House Guard, DC Residence, Kokrajhar, Ariyan Kumar (3) of Kurshakati and Md. Mahnatiful (27), Kameswar Rabha (20) and Nur Amin Ali (18), all from Bhotgaon quarantine centre.
Meanwhile, the DC office has been sealed for three days from Friday after one of its employees tested positive on Thursday. The DC office will remain closed till July 26 and the official works will temporarily be carried out from the Circuit House, Kokrajhar.
