2nd phase of Fundamental Literacy and Numeracy training for teachers concludes in Doomdooma

The second phase of the five-day Fundamental Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) training for teachers of primary schools under the supervision of Inspector of Schools (IS) and District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) Bitupon Hazarika held at Doomdooma Girls’ HS School concluded on Saturday.

DOOMDOOMA: The second phase of the five-day Fundamental Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) training for teachers of primary schools under the supervision of Inspector of Schools (IS) and District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) Bitupon Hazarika held at Doomdooma Girls’ HS School concluded on Saturday. This five-day training covered the importance of basic literacy and numeracy and presentation of teaching and learning materials, teacher’s manuals and worksheets etc. as per programme scheduled for each day. During the five-day training, IS and DEEO Bitupon Hazarika, District Planning Officer Deepak Borgohain, District Fundamental Literacy and Numeracy Consultant Suruj Bhuyan and Block Resource Person of Tinsukia Urban Education Block Durjay Lochan Chetia held discussion on basic literacy and numeracy with the trainees.

The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Lokman Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Doomdooma College, Principal of Doomdooma Girls’ Higher Secondary Sangeeta Borkakoty and the president of the Management and Development Committee of the school Abhijit Khataniar as invited guests. Dr. Lokman Ali also unveiled a handwritten magazine named “Uttaran” published by the trainees. The five-day training was conducted by the CRCC of Tinsukia Urban Education Cluster Jahnavi Phukan and resource persons Rumi Sharma, Pranamita Bordoloi, Mayuri Borthakur and Chandak Dhar respectively.

The Principal of the school Sangeeta Borkakoty and the CRCCs of two Clusters of Doomdooma Karabi Sonowal and Satya Prakash Shah extended active cooperation in conducting the training.
