"3 areas have been declared as containment zones in the town area due to the high prevalence of COVID-19 cases. Besides, containment zones have also been declared in the Gossaigaon area, where the number of COVID-19 cases is also quite high. The measure to demarcate volatile zones as containment zones is being taken to minimize the risk of transmission", Phukan disclosed to The Sentinel Digital.
