3 Killed In Separate Road Accidents

The police reached the spot and sent the injured persons to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) but the doctor on duty declared them brought dead.

GUWAHATI, Sept 5: Three people were killed in road accidents in the city on Sunday night. Two motorcycle riders were killed on the spot after their Bajaj Avenger bike (AS01DY0783) was hit from behind by a speeding container in the Khanapara area. Eye-witnesses said that the container (NL01Q6355) was headed towards Jorabat at a high speed. The police reached the spot and sent the injured persons to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) but the doctor on duty declared them brought dead. The deceased have been identified as Pranjal Saikia (26) who hailed from Sonapur, and Monmot Roy (26) who hailed from Salakati in Kokrajhar.

In another incident, another two-wheeler rider was killed after being hit by a dumper in the Borbari area on Sunday night. The victim has been identified as Nilpaban Ronghang. He was killed on the spot after his Honda Dio scooty was hit from behind by a speeding dumper.
