3 more die of COVID in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Three persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Wednesday. They have been identified as Janak Chetry (30), resident of Uttar Amalagaon, Chariduar, Salim Uddin (54), resident of Biskhuti, Dhekiajuli and Mrinal Dey (20), resident of Rangapara in Sonitpur district, who died at TMCH, taking the death toll to 195 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic. Altogether 6,472 tests were done across the district on Thursday out of which 5,983 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 173 positive cases found, 157 cases were from RAT and 16 from RT-PCR.
