3 trafficked minor girls rescued by Lakhimpur police from Arunachal Pradesh

Lakhimpur police managed to rescue three trafficked minor girls from the State of Arunachal Pradesh.

LAKHIMPUR: Lakhimpur police managed to rescue three trafficked minor girls from the State of Arunachal Pradesh. They were rescued by a team of police personnel from Boginadi Police Station led by Sub-Inspector (P) Kumud Sharma after receiving information about the trafficked girls from a reliable source.

As per report received regarding the issue, Sukru Orang, a resident of Gomnadi village under Boginadi Police Station, in association with one more person named Purneswar Garh of the same village, sold his 7-year old daughter to a resident of Lower Jumi area of Arunachal Pradesh. The buyer of the minor girl has been identified as Teli Moina.

On August 8, the team of the police personnel from Boginadi Police Station rescued the girl from Lower Jumi, under Kimin Police Station of Arunachal Pradesh and arrested the three accused persons- Purneswar Garh, Sukru Orang and Teli Moina of Lower Jumi Basti. During further investigation, Boginadi Police came to know that the same accused persons had previously trafficked two more minor girls. They both are daughters of Purneswar Garh living at Chinatolia Purana line. The team of police personnel rescued these two minor girls from Kimin, Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.
