3 Workers Found Dead, One Recovered In Severe Condition From Construction Site in Assam

The dead bodies of three workers were found at the construction site in the Baihata Chariali of Kamrup Rural district. One man was recovered in critical condition after sustaining severe injuries.

GUWAHATI: In a mysterious incident on Monday 24 January, the dead bodies of three youth workers were recovered from the construction site located in the Baihata Chariali of Kamrup Rural district.

Along with the three dead bodies one person was recovered from the same site of Bhaihata Chariali in a critical condition with severe injuries. The worker was struggling for his life after sustaining severe wounds

The deceased individuals were later identified as Ratul Ali, Muzaffar Hussain and Babul Hussain.

The surviving person sustaining severe injuries was identified as Sofikul Ali.

According to reports, the three deceased persons and one injured are all residents of the Rangia city in Kamrup rural district.

It is informed that they are all daily wagers working on a contractual basis at an irrigation department construction area.

After witnessing the incident, the locals of the area informed police officials who reached the spot and found that the 3 persons are already dead and one was struggling in a severe condition.

The injured person has been admitted to the near hospital and a thorough investigation has been initiated over the death of three persons in the construction location.

Meanwhile, the reason for death is not yet known as all the three dead bodies are sent for post mortem reports and for further medical inquiry.

According to sources, the locals remarked the incident appeared to be very mysterious to them as all the four people including the injured person had reached the scene around 20 days ago with no mark of injury. They showed no evidence or signs of injuries that might probably hint at the incident being connected to a murder case.

However, the investigation is underway and the post mortem reports are awaited.
