BILASIPARA: The 32nd foundation day of Bilasipara Press Club was observed on Tuesday at the premises of the club. In this connection senior most journalist Dayal Paul hoisted the flag of the club in the morning followed by floral tribute on the martyrs column by government pensioner journalist Moslem Uddin Ahmed. Thereafter a meeting was held with Dayal Paul in the chair. The meeting was attended and addressed by Manoranjan Payeng, ADC and i/c SDO (Civil), Bilasipara, Dr. Ashok Kumar Singhi, ex-MLA, Samsul Huda, MLA, Bilasipara East LAC. MLA Samsul Huda while addressing the meeting assured necessary fund from his LAD fund for the development of the press club. Vote of thanks was offered by Sanjay Sarma. The seminar was ended with the presidential address.
The general meeting of the club scheduled to be held after the seminar could not be held due to constitutional irregularity and the next date of the general meeting was fixed on June 4. In this connection a five member convenor committee was formed with Samaresh Seal Sarma as convenor.
