On the 9th day of the second phase lockdown on Thursday, Lakhimpur District Health Department sent swab samples of 2 persons to Regional Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, ICMR, RMRC of Dibrugarh district for the repeat test of COVID-19. The result of these swab sample tests were reported to the District Health Department on Friday and they all tested negative for the fatal virus. However, no swab sample was sent to the ICMR from the district on the day.
On the other hand 5 swab samples of two health officials and other 3 persons with suspected Coronavirus exposures were sent on Wednesday. The results of these five swab samples test were reported to the District Health Department on Thursday and they came negative for coronavirus. Moreover, the results of the 24 swab samples, sent on Tuesday for COVID-19 test, were reported to the District Health Department on Wednesday and all those sample also tested negative for coronavirus.
At present, one persons of the district, has been under observation in the isolation ward of the COVID-19 Hospital of the district at Telahi Model Hospital while a total of 14 people have been in the mass quarantine facility of the same hospital. In addition to it, eleven persons have been observed in the mass quarantine facility set up at OPD College and 2 in Punjab Hotel.
The number of people stamped for home quarantine in the district rose to 4720 on Friday. The Health Department stamped 18 people of the district for home quarantine on Wednesday, 43 people on Thursday, and 110 people on Friday. On the other hand, 76 persons of the district on Wednesday, 353 people on Thursday and 139 people on Friday, with a cumulative total of 3405, completed their 28 day long period of home quarantine in the district.
