DHUBRI: The 401st Prakash Diwas (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji will be observed in Dhubri at Dhubri Gurudwara Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji under the auspices of Sikh Pratinidhi Board, Eastern Zone with pomp and gaiety from April 22 to April 24.
A Gurudwara source informed that on April 22, Akhandpath will be started followed by Kirtan Darbar and the Kirtan Darbar will continue till 9 AM on April 23 followed by Madhya Ardas and Kirtan Darbar, while on April 24, Akhandpath Bhog followed by Kirtan Darbar till 1 PM will be held. With this the observation of Prakash Diwas will come to an end. Langar will be served for all the three days, source further informed.
Talking to The Sentinel, secretary of Sikh Pratinidhi Board, Eastern Zone, Sardar Kulwant Singh informed that this time Gyani Ranjit Singh, Gohar-A-Muskeen Jathedar of Patna Sahib would be taking part in the programmes.
"All the arrangements and accommodation for nearly 1,000 Singh Sangats have already been made. We appeal to people of all caste, creed and religion to participate in the Prakash Diwas programme and make it a grand one," Singh said.
