SILCHAR: The 54th death anniversary of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha was observed with a two-day programme by Cachar administration in 7 constituencies on Monday.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will address the occasion, the live telecast of the Chief Minister’s speech will be shown in Cachar district in the Silchar Zilla Parishad conference hall and in the offices of various Block Development Officers of the 7 constituencies of Cachar district on Tuesday.
Kalaguru will be remembered in various educational institutions of seven constituencies of Cachar district on Tuesday on the occasion of death anniversary of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha. To mark the occasion, along with Cachar DC Rohan Kumar Jha, Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty flagged off the campaign from the District Commissioner’s office here on Monday. The programme was also attended by the executive magistrate & Cultural development officer, Bidyashri Langthasa and other officials. The campaign was conducted in 10 areas of the seven constituencies of Cachar district on the day and similar kind of campaign will be conducted in eight more block development areas on Tuesday, stated a press release.
