DIBRUGARH: An awareness programme 'join Army officers' was held at DHSK college in Dibrugarh on Monday. The programme was organised by 5th Madras Regiment. Over 200 students of the college participated in the programme and interacted with the students and cleared their doubts regarding joining armed forces.
Speaking at the programme, Commanding Officer of 5th Madras Regiment Colonel Ranjit Singh Yadav said, "Everybody wants to join Indian Army and they think after passing class 10 they will join Army as a soldier. But there are many ranks in Armed forces after passing 12th standard or graduation."
An interactive session was held where students asked various questions regarding armed forces. Many students showed their willingness to join Indian Army. "Its an awareness programme where students have learned about various posts on Indian Army. Such kinds of programme will definitely create a sense of awareness among the students," he said.
