TANGLA: Six persons, including two women of a family of Jangalborigaon village under Udalguri police station, were put under quarantine at the Harisinga quarantine centre on Friday following their close contact with a woman who died in GMCH after prolonged illness (not corona related).

The family members said that their relative Kamala Devi (50) breathed her last on May 7 last at GMCH following prolonged illness. Since they stayed with the deceased for her treatment at GMCH from April 26 to May 6 at GMCH, the Udalguri district administration decided to put the family members in the quarantine centre as part of safety steps and existing rules. The district administration informed that the persons would be provided all facilities as per rules.
