GUWAHATI: A photograph of a policeman clicked by Saurav Sen in Dhubri has been shared by Asam special DGP Dr. L R Bishnoi on Twitter now have become a widely shared photo in social media.

The photo depicts an Assam Policeman paddling amid rains to perform his duties has won the hearts of the netizens.

Admiring the hard work and determination of the cop, Bishnoi writes, "Even pandemic & precipitation can't deter cops. Hopping helps to keep the body pliant. It takes hard work & determination to succeed in all weather duties. Cooperation is key in serving you better!"

Earlier in the month of January, a Guwahati traffic policeman garnered online praise for being committed towards his duty.

The police personal identified as Amiya Kalita of Dispur Traffic branch gained attention on social media after photographs surfaced of him cleaning the road at Supermarket point for the convenience of commuters.

Kalita's dedicated efforts for the welfare of the citizen of Guwahati came to a surprised when he was rewarded by the department with Rs. 5000 for his dedication towards his duty.

Meanwhile, the Guwahati Traffic Police in its official Twitter handle wrote, "UBC 439 Amiya Kalita of Dispur Traffic branch was seen cleaning the road at Supermarket point for the convenience of commuters. We salute his sense of public service. @DGPAssamPolice has announced a money reward of Rs 5000 for his dedication to his duty @assampolice"

Earlier, in the year 2019, a traffic policeman named Mithun Das, a traffic cop from Guwahati ruled social media when he braved a heavy downpour in the city.

A video that went viral showed Mithun continuously managing traffic during rush hour, which was made all the more difficult as it was accompanied by a heavy thunderstorm.

Das hails from Manja in Karbi Anglong and had joined the Assam police services in 2015. It is to be mentioned that due to a financial crisis the constable was unable to complete his education and joined the police force right after completing his matriculation.
