Woman goes missing in Kheroni, West Karbi Anglong

A mother of 2 children goes missing in West Karbi Anglong. She went to see a Kabiraj (one who practices Ayurveda) and did not return home since then

Kheroni: A woman from West Karbi Anglong district of Assam has been reported missing since Tuesday (December 23).

The name of the missing woman is Sabita Biswas, wife of Rajlal Biswas, resident of Durgapur village under Kherni police station in West Karbi Anglong.

Sabita Biswas is a mother of two children, who went to see a Kabiraj (one who practices Ayurveda) named Rafiq Miya in Karikhana village in under Kheroni area on Tuesday afternoon and did not, return home. Since then, the woman has been missing. This mysterious incident has left the family worried and upset.

A missing person case has been filed in the Kheroni police station regarding the matter.

Sabita's family has requested people to contact Kheroni police station if anybody finds any information.

Her husband, Rajlal Biswas said, "My son was born nine months back and since then my wife has been in bed rest, she cannot do anything. I have been looking after everything. We have two children one daughter who is four years old and a nine-month-old son. Two days back she went to 'Kabiraj' Rafiq Miya and after that, she did not return home. I visited Rafiq Miya's place searching for my wife and asked about her whereabouts. They informed me that after taking the medicines she went out from there.I searched everywhere everywhere in the village but I failed to find her."

Rajlal Biswas further said that their daughter has been continuously asking for her mother. He have registered a missing case with the police and they told him that they will investigate the matter and find out about his wife.However, police have not informed them anything about the matter yet," he added.
