GAURISAGAR: The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Jhanji regional unit on Friday burnt the symbolic copies of the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill at Jhanji Garamur Tini Ali on NH-37 in protest against the Union government's 'anti-farmer' policies.

The activists of Jhanji Regional Unit displayed various placards and shouted slogans and demanded the Union Government to scrap the three bills immediately. The protest programme was led by Dhrubajyoti Borah, president in-charge, AASU Jhanji Regional Unit.
