AASU, Lakhimpur Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan conducted awareness drive on COVID-19

The activists of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and Lakhimpur Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan jointly conducted an awareness drive on COVID-19 contagion on Saturday.

LAKHIMPUR: The activists of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) and Lakhimpur Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan jointly conducted an awareness drive on COVID-19 contagion on Saturday.

Initiating the step, led by North Lakhimpur regional AASU president-in charge Pinku Bordoloi and general secretary-in charge Bitopan Bhuyan, the activists of the organization and the said Bihu Committee distributed over thousand face masks and hand sanitizers among the people at different places under North Lakhimpur town. Further, they appealed to the people not to come out from their homes without emergency and urgent need.

In this connection, they sensitized the masses about the dangerous effect of the double mutant coronavirus which affected the people with more intensity during the second surge of infection. AASU State executive member Dhanmoni Dutta, Lakhimpur Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan treasurer Bhava Gogoi and other dignitaries of both organizations took part in the programme.
