AAUA calls for immediate appointment of temporary health workers in LMCH

LAKHIMPUR: The All Assam Unemployed Association (AAUA) has demanded the State Government to appoint 45 temporary ward boys-ward girls and 16 safai karmis in Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital (LMCH) permanently. Notably, these Grade IV health employees have been working in North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital (NLCH) on temporary basis since 2008 by drawing a nominal amount of salary.

Regarding the issue, the AAUA submitted a memorandum to the Director of Health and Education on Wednesday. In the same memorandum, the organization further demanded to appoint those health employees concerned on the basis of their experience, to prioritize experienced candidates with regard to the appointment of such posts in LMCH, to extend age limit up to 42 years of the applicants and to extend the date for submitting applications for the posts of LMCH up to June 15 from May 30.
