Talking to the reporters at Bodofa House, the president of ABSU Dipen Boro said the union will continue its agitation until action is taken against the arrested accused. He questioned on whose orders the VC of BU Laishram Ladu Singh is continuing his duty? He said 10,000 students will take part in the 5-hour protest demonstration in front of BU on September 30. He alleged that academic advisor of Governor and Chancellor of BU Mihir Kanti Choudhury was the person shielding VC to continue in his position despite having case on corruption charges.

“We are ashamed that a person of a prestigious higher educational institution, involved in corruption cases, can be continuing office on bail. He also said the Governor house had not taken any action.

Boro said ABSU will fight until Singh is removed from the post of VC of BU. The high-level inquiry committee has started inquiry and the time for submitting report was over. “We don’t know what is the report of inquiry committee about Singh.”

The ABSU will send memorandum to the President of India, Prime Minister and Union Home Minister through massive protest demonstration seeking action on him.
