ABSU for curriculum concession in 6th semester BU undergraduate course

KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) has demanded a 50 per cent syllabus curriculum concession question paper for the students of 6th semester for the undergraduate course under Bodoland University (BU), the examination for which is scheduled from October 12.

Briefing mediapersons at Bodofa House in Kokrajhar on Wednesday, ABSU education secretary Kastom Basumatary said due to COVID-19 pandemic, classes in colleges and university could not be held but despite this, the Bodoland University was not allotting syllabus curriculum concession for the students of 6th semester undergraduate courses, the examination for which was scheduled from October 12. He said that Gauhati University and Cotton University had provided syllabus concession so why could not Bodoland University do the same? He questioned how the Bodoland University could conduct the examination with 100 per cent syllabus when classes were not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The student union has threatened of democratic protest from October 8 if the University authority does not provide syllabus concession.
