TINSUKIA: In a media interaction programme organized by District Health Society Tinsukia on Friday, the Additional District Commissioner (Health) Chinmoy Pathak highlighted the main objective of ‘Ayushman Bhavah’ campaign which was launched formally by the President of India through virtual mode across the country on September 13. Aimed at to enhance awareness of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), ABHA ID generation, and services related to screening and management of non-communicable diseases and sickle cell disease, Pathak elaborated the 4 components of Ayushman Bhavah namely Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Sabha, Ayushman Mela at AB-HWC and Ayushman Mela at CHC by medical colleges.
He further stated that to saturate the delivery of all health care services in every panchayat in line and to ensure reaching to last mile with enabling access to health care services to everyone in the society, the ‘Gram Sabha’ will act as the forum to discuss local governance and development (need-based village plans). Speaking on the occasion, Pathak said that any Gram/ Nagar Panchayat which shall be able to achieve the above-mentioned coverage shall be awarded the status of ‘Ayushman Gram Panchayat’ or ‘Ayushman Urban Ward’.
