NAGAON: The newspaper group that is publishing the Assamese weekly newsletter ‘Amar Aditi’ from Central Assam, presented the ‘Aditi Samman -2023’ to Nagaon District Commissioner (DC) Narendra Kumar Shah and Hojai District Commissioner (DC) Lachit Kumar Das at their respective offices on Tuesday.
The award was presented by the editor and managing editor in presence of its sub-editors and other senior journalists of the newspaper. Receiving the award, Nagaon District Commissioner Narendra Kumar Shah said, “I am fortunate to serve in the birthplace of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva as an administrative officer. In addition, the rich and colorful culture of Assam will fascinate me for life.” He added that Assam has a beautiful natural environment, rich culture, music, songs and colourful costumes. He said he was proud to serve as a government officer in such a beautiful state.
The same award was also presented to the Hojai District Commissioner Lachit Kumar Das. Receiving the award, Lachit Das urged the new generation to use the internet services only in a positive way. Both the administrative officers expressed their gratitude to the ‘Amar Aditi’ family for presenting the prestigious award.
