Admission going on in Abhayapuri College for 2020-21 session

University Grant Commission (UGC) accorded approval to Abhayapuri College for the third time to start two more skill-based degree courses

BONGAIGAON: University Grant Commission (UGC) accorded approval to Abhayapuri College for the third time to start two more skill-based degree courses under Bachelor of Vocation scheme in Food Processing and Retail Management and Information Technology, from the session 2020-21 in addition to the existing three courses that have been running since the launch of these schemes by UGC in 2014-15.

In a press release, Dr. S Nath, Principal of the college, said that the new courses were quite promising in respect of job opportunities like Processing Manager, Food Microbiologist, Plant Baker and Processing technician in food processing industries. "In retail sector there are ample opportunities for the jobs like Store Manager, Departmental Manager, Retail Team Leader and Sales Executive in shopping malls, super markets, retail departmental stores, automobile showrooms, besides entrepreneurship and self employment. The process for admission for both new and existing courses, Information Technology, Tourism and Travel Management, and Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Financial Services, are going on for the session 2020-21.

Students can apply through the college website www.abhayapuricollege.in up to November 25, 2020." he said. Eligibility for admission is 10+2 passed or equivalent and there is no age bar for admission. Moreover, there are provisions for multiple exit and multiple entry for all these courses.
